2014 Walling Competition

The 2014 National Walling Competition was held in October at Shaker Village in Pleasant Hill Kentucky.  It was organized and sponsored by The Drystone Conservancy and was a tremendous event with contestants from all over the United States and Canada. Contestants are divided into classes according to skill level and previous competition results. Masons are required to take down a measured section of wall to below foundation , and rebuild with-in eight hours.  Each contestants' work is judged and graded according to Drystone Walling Specifications set forth by DSWA . Below are some pictures of the event and my section of completed wall.
